Technorati was another one of those sites I learned about a few years ago, played around with, and then slowly forgot about. I'm not so sure I want this blog any more effectively found than it is already (I'd have to start worrying a bit more about my content...and grammar) so I have chosen not to join the site. However, I did remember one of the reasons I liked Technorati so much in the first place--the access to new blogs (especially tech blogs, natch). I have a few daily blog staples--gizmodo, lifehacker, and slashdot--but even a limited perusal of Technorati has reminded me of a few blogs I used to check, but have forgotten about lately--like engadget and boingboing (which is not always work appropriate but has great stuff). I also enjoy the aggregate feature of the page itself--posting the blog posts rising in popularity is very useful.
Still, I turn to digg for my daily overview of what's popular--this morning I found out that only 19.7% of 2009 college grads got a job and saw a funny cat photo or two. Clearly, digg is hit or miss, but that is why I love it--I love the catch-all nature of it.

Hi Lori:
ReplyDeleteI couldn't figure out how to add HTML to a post; I see the "edit HTML" link while I'm creating my blog however I don't know the proper code for tags. Is there a tag html tutorial on blogger I'm missing?
