Skipping ahead a bit--I've read two interesting Twitter related pieces today. One, at gizmodo, was about this fantastic device from the 1930s with a Twitter-like purpose.
And....astronauts are using Twitter in space!
This is a very small step for man, indeed, but still pretty cool--astronaut Mike Massimino twittered: "From orbit: Launch was awesome!! I am feeling great, working hard, & enjoying the magnificent views, the adventure of a lifetime has begun!"
It was great fun following the Hokule'a on her voyage to Palmyra and return. I was very impressed by the way the crew tweeted answers to questions sent in by school classes. It's so nuch more "in the moment" than reading press releases after the fact. (www.twitter.com/HokuleaWWV)
